We had a fantastic time sharing our tasting room with Ciscoe and Meegan. Watch the video below to see how much fun we had. Spring Release Parties You are invited to our wine releases this spring! Our popular white and rosé wines are back along with a few new selections. March 13, Friday 5:30-8:00 pm or March 14-15, Saturday and Sunday from Noon-5 pm. We will be releasing the 2014 Viognier, along with the 2014 L’Orange Pinot Gris. 2014 Lawrence Vineyard Viognier, $17/bottle. Only 107 cases produced. One of the best values in Washington state for this varietal. While most Viognier was picked earlier than usual due to extreme heat in 2014, the higher elevation from Lawrence Vineyard on the Royal Slope allowed the grapes to hang longer and develop amazing flavors. If you’ve been a fan of this wine from Bartholomew in the past, this wine will not disappoint. 2014 L’Orange from Lawrence Vineyard, $15/bottle. 174 cases produced. 100% Pinot Gris made in a rosé style. 24 hours of skin contact prior to primary fermentation created an amazing orange color (third bottle from the left in picture above). Rather than adding red wine to make this wine pink, I decided to leave it alone and bottle it in its natural color. Unbelievable grapes from Lawrence Vineyard have created flavors that I’ve not experienced from Pinot Gris before. An amazing value! This is just the beginning to an amazing wine season! Here are dates for the other releases this spring. April 4th-5th: 2014 Rosé of Carménère and 2014 Pinot Grigio April 25th-26th: 2014 Aligoté and 2014 Sauvignon Blanc More information about these wines coming soon! |
