Four grape blend from 4 different vineyards in 4 different Washington AVA's
2010 Bartholomew Winery Jaxon
Vineyard: 4 Vineyard Blend
AVA: Columbia Valley
Cases Produced: 142
Technical Information: Blend 55% Cabernet Franc (Horse Heaven Hills), 22% Cabernet Sauvignon (Snipes Mountain), 12% Malbec (Rattlesnake Hills), 11% Carmenere (Red Mountain); Alcohol 13.6%
Tasting Notes: A representation of Washington State wine at it's best. The cooler vintage of 2010 produced long smooth tannins in this cuvee. Lower alcohol and medium oak exposure creates a well balanced wine. Dark cherry and raspberry flavors finish with a touch of herb and tea. Pairs well with Cambazola cheese and pepper encrusted steak. Drink now, or lay down for another 5-7 years.
Fermentation/Aging Style: 25% new French oak aged for 22 months. Bottled August 2012.
