A white burgundy from the only vineyard in the state of Washington that grows this varietal planted in 1979
2014 Bartholomew Winery Aligote
Vineyard: Upland Vineyard
AVA: Snipes Mountain
Cases Produced: 111
Technical Information: Blend 100% Aligote; Alcohol 13.5%; PH 3.25
Tasting Notes: A grape that originates from the Burgundy region in France, this lesser known varietal showcases well in Washington State dirt. One of our most popular wines since its first appearance in our 2010 line-up. These vines planted in 1979 continue to create a very distinct white wine. Pair with oysters on the half shell. Get one before it's gone!
Fermentation/Aging Style: 50% fermented in stainless steel barrels, 50% fermented in neutral oak barrels. Two different yeast strains used and combined once primary fermentation was completed.
